Evaluations of Holiday Inn TORONTO DOWNTOWN CENTRE
Excellent location within walking distance to shopping restaurants and subway. Excellent dining onsite so there is no need to go out if the weather is not favorable.
this hotel feels like coming home each time I'm there. It's conveniently located in the downtown area and I feel very save and secured during my stay. excellent laundry service too however rather expensive.
The elevators can sometimes be very bussy and it may take ages before you get one or to get down to the ground floor. but it's just a minor thing.
A bit outdated
very friendly & helpfull staff. breakfast buffet is excellent. the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect!!!! the hotel is very very close to the subway station. even from the airport to the hotel you can easily use public transportation. and it safes you money. and if you want last minute tickets to a basketball base- or hockey game, check with the congierge he might be able to help you out.
the rooms are a bit small. the temperature in the room was hard to maintain at a comfortable level. we had 2 mornings a cold shower.
As we were at the rear of the hotel, we experienced noise from industrial fans, possibly related to air con for fhe hotel and other buildings. We needed ear plugs to try and sleep which did help a bit.
It looks like somehow we had the ´´bad luck´´ of hearing a low 'hum' of some airco vent, even while we didnt use the airco. Wasnt loud or noisy, but low and persistant, letting you sleep less deep as useual. And although I write this in the ´´negative´´box...it was a minor thing.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others!
Room was quite small. Also I was almost sure my room included breakfast, but it turned out it did not. (website states complimentary breakfast on multiple places) I always wonder why expensive hotels charge for breakfast while cheaper ones always have breakfast included. Also the toilet seems to make some noises during the night, but not much. So while I was awake I noticed it, but when I was asleep it did not wake me up.
The service in the restaurant was slow because our waiter was doing double duty as room service.
