Evaluations of Courtyard Toronto Downtown
Soft, squishy mattress. Poor night's sleep as a result. Expensive room. Toilet and shower in a different room from the sink. Strange layout. Only 2/4 elevators worked in the tower. Hotel was full. Definitely not what I expect from a Marriott family hotel.
Didn't spend much time here, but it was a comfortable bed and good location.
The two times I took a taxi from this hotel, I had very poor experiences. The first taxi tried to refuse to allow the third person in my group to sit up front. When the Valet finally forced him to allow my colleague to sit there, the driver had bags of McDonald's and personal items on the seat. He then spent the drive eating his McDonald's and blasting a weird techno music. The second taxi had a very funny smell and was unclean.
good location, great new lobby and food options
roooms need a face lift. Shower pressure poor
Very attentive staff people. Walking distance to e. g. Eaton Center.
Sometimes long waiting time for escalators Breakfast not included in room price.
Valet parking personnel are very efficient.
Way over-priced for what you get. Checked-in at 9pm after a long travel/work day, to find three bus-loads of foreign tourists checking in ahead of me, PLUS the key-making machine was out-of-order, so I had to stand outside my door for 20 minutes before I could be let in by a staff member, then was essentially trapped in my room for the night unless I wanted to wait 20 minutes next time I wanted back in! Desk personnel wouldn't even comp me for the experience and inconvenience! On the previous stay (same price, same booking mechanism) buffet breakfast was included - not this time - tourists take precedence over businessmen. Valet parking is $30/night and they expect a tip on top of this? Utterly ridiculous. Never again.
Better than a 5-Star Hotel
no shuttle service to/from the airport.
I was bitten by an insect and complained about this. The manager De Sousa was only laughing about me. That was really infriendly and incompotent from management. He promissed that general management would come back to me next day but nothing happend. even they didn't pay the cost for medical care and medicine.
Nice hotel and furniture in the room.
One of the best Courtyard Hotels that I've seen.
None that I can think of
