Dortmund is surrounded by a perfectly constructed highway network and an own international airport. You can also reach the town easily by ICE, IC and EC trains. You will find hotels in close proximity to the airport as well as to the train stations.

Furthermore, research institutes such as the Forsa Institute for Social Research and the Max Planck Institute for molecular physiology are located in Darmstadt.
