An Outstanding Old Town

Timbered gables, wood vaulted facades and soaring spires are ubiquitous in Herzogenaurach’s outstanding Old Town. One of the medieval myriad’s most prominent buildings is the Towers Storm, an authoritative watchtower that helped defend this prosperous place in ancient times. Four talismanic turrets are topped with terracotta hats, above which a tower lantern gazes solemnly over the town.

The Old Town Hall is similarly majestic in its traditional style with its terracotta timbered exterior and interior treats. Within, intricate stained glass windows depict religious scenes and ancient murals speak of bygone days.
