Chez Elena Guest house is located in Las Orquideas which is one of the safest neighborhood in Quito. You can enjoy a small town environment while being in the middle of Quito, and walk around at night without fear. You are 3km. from the heart of the old city by bus, which costs only 25 cents.
Besides being in a wonderful neighborhood, Elena is incredibly nice, and her house has all the comforts of home: bathroom, stereo, computer, microwave, and, of course, a blender so that you can enjoy all of the homemade fruit juices that she makes (mango, guayaba, papaya, pineapple juice…). Not to mention that Elena is an excellent and healthy cook.
Honestly, it’s an ideal place to stay while you get to know Quito; it’s much better than a hotel!

Evaluations of Chez Elena Guest House
Excellent service, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. We stayed two more nights upon our return to Quito. Transportation service to and from airport was excellent.
Very clean and friendly. Though not en suite bathroom facilities were clean and excellent. Despite comments below it was excellent value for 1 night with late arrival and early departure.
Wi-Fi reception unstable. No TV in room. Very noisy from local barking dogs, crying children and unoiled hinges on doors. Hotel was booked as being near airport. Despite being holiday in Quito journey took over 30 minutes by taxi. Area around hotel not as described.
