Topphotell i Lloret de Mar

The Mediterranean Majesty of Lloret de Mar

The blissful beaches and prime position of Lloret de Mar have earned the seaside town the esteemed title of one of the Mediterranean’s most popular resorts. The former fishing village exudes a quintessential charm that is heightened by the scenic surroundings and coastal splendour; recline upon the silken sands of any of the 5 beautiful beaches, or take the short train journey to Catalonia’s compelling capital of Barcelona. Glittering yachts populate the ambient marina, a picturesque place that is surrounded by refined restaurants, while sophisticated shops and quaint cafes prove perfect places to while away an afternoon.

Morbid Magnificence

Although Lloret de Mar’s primary allure is its vibrant nightclubs and sandy sanctuaries, the resort’s cultural offering is surprisingly compelling; a morbid yet magnificent attraction is the Modernist Cemetery, an amazing myriad of grandiose gravestones and ostentatious mausoleums. The perfectly kept site is decorated with greenery and ringed by undulating hills, therefore provides a wonderful place for quiet contemplation.

An Incredible Iglesia

Enjoy one of the villages most colourful and kaleidoscopic sights with a visit to the Iglesia de Sant Roma. The church is a cacophonous confection of talismanic turrets, terracotta panels and elaborate embellishments and create an arresting vision that challenges conventional religious architecture. This is undoubtedly the resort’s architectural icon.

Sumptuous Spanish Specialities

Spain’s most famous dish is undoubtedly tapas, and no restaurant serves more tantalising and tempting treats than Restaurante La Lonja. Absorb the authentic atmosphere of the rustically furnished restaurant before digging into the terracotta bowls of sizzling chorizo, crispy, garlic smothered potatoes and magnificent paellas that are sure to satisfy royalty.
