Hotel description The Dawson Hotel

Business hours of reception: 24 hours

Unless you were intimately acquainted with Dublin, you would never guess that the fine facade opposite the mansion house La Stampa in the city's heritage centre hid layer upon layer of esoteric styles dedicated to your comfort and pleasure.

Our rooms are full of character, Parisian bedspreads and crisp linen as well as today’s technological necessities. They are all equipped with bathtub, shower, air-condition, safe, TV, telephone and internet access.

The Mandala Spa is a mesmerising journey into bliss. The Brasserie is a Dublin landmark and its Baroque opulence a glittering setting for its award winning cuisine. Tiger Becs, a Thai restaurant, is as authentic as they come.

What started out as La Stampa Brasserie in 1990, has metamorphosed into a luxury boutique hotel inspired by the Orient. Behind the flamboyance of the design, there is wit, entertainment and luscious helping of comfort verging on the decadent. Situated in the heart of Dublin's city centre and centrally located within easy reach of its main shopping, dining, night spot and heritage areas.

Expect a warm welcome from the moment you arrive, relax in our spacious rooms and enjoy a cocktail in the elegant art deco surroundings of Sam's bar. Dine at the Seafood Bar by Wrights of Howth or spend a relaxing afternoon in the award winning Dawson Spa. You can also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, restaurant and bars. Hotel has 24-hour front desk, lift (limited access), luggage storage, safety deposit box, complimentary access to outdoor gym, pool and sauna facilities, and 50% discount at nearby public car park. Stayed in a Suite and it was to die for. Bed and pillows were comfy. Gorgeous roll top bath and there was a fridge in the room.

It did get a little noisy out on the street around 3.00 a.m. with people leaving the bars and the breakfast was basic for the price but it did the job. Would have liked more protein options.

Nice Hotel, I stayed in a small Studio with separate bedroom, which was great solution. The Hotel staff is extremaly polite and helpful. I'd definitely come back here because of nice room and friendly athmosphere.

Breakfast was not great because of small selection (toasts, fruits, jam, joghurt) and only instant coffee available. But hotell staf offered a discount and took off breakfast from the Hotel bill, so I could use that Money to eat outside in very good small cafee recommended by Hotel staff. So not bad after all!

Bedroom was comfortable despite the fact there was no natural light, no electrical beside mirror for hairdryer use

Our suite was on the 4th floor and the noise from the night club kept us awake also there was no lift. Only continental breakfast available which was badly organised,

Great location in the city centre for shopping, pubs, restaurants. The room was very nice big spacious.Hotel staff very helpful & friendly.

The only fault we had was been woken up at 3 or 4am by the sound of beer kegs been taken off a lorry right outside . But we were staying in a hotel in the city centre so noise like that can't be helped.
