Rzeszow: Static and Seductive

Rzeszow is a multi-faceted metropolis who ranks amongst Poland’s most significant and static cities. Industry continues to develop at a radical pace while the Old Towns still resonates antique charm, much of which was unfortunately lost during devastating wartime destruction. However, Rzeszow has emerged from its turbulent past with newfound vigour and now thrives with an exciting cultural and gastronomic scene. A prestigious university means the city enjoys a youthful and vibrant vibe while its rich history has resulted in the presence of many excellent museums. Regularly and inexplicably overlooks, this static city is a Polish present that is sure to satisfy and seduce the intrepid traveller.

A Pristine Palace

Hailed as one of the city’s most legendary and luscious landmarks, the Lubomirski Palace boasts a fabulous façade that is as stately as it is stunning. Set amidst manicured and picturesque gardens, the 18th century gem’s interior is usually closed to the public, however a wander around the gorgeous grounds to admire the simple yet sublime structure features highly on any Rzeszow itinerary.

A Captivating Cultural Contribution

Irrefutably the most obscure and outstanding cultural feature of Rzeszow is the Museum of Bedtime Cartoons, a charming place in which childhood nostalgia is rife. The colourful collections transports visitors to the sentimental stretches of childhood with an aesthetically appealing display of puppets, posters and toys all associated with Polish bedtime cartoons.

Rustic Rzeszow Restaurants

For an enriching and enjoyable experience of Polish hospitality, visit the Stray Brower Bar and Restaurant to sip locally brewed beer and sample local specialities. Enormous servings of prime Polish lager compliment local delicacies such as hearty soups and succulent meatballs smothered in a rich sauce. (Rynek 20-23, Rzeszow 35-001, Poland)
