The 4 star hotel H10 Villa de la Reina was opened in 2001 and is located in the centre of Madrid. The building in typical style from the early 20th century has been completely renovated and restored. It offers three halls where all types of events can take place, whether of a professional or a private kind.

All our 74 rooms are tastefully and comfortably equipped. They provide a private bathroom, air condition, mini bar, safe, clock radio, telephone, cable and satellite TV with international channels as well as Pay TV.

Our Restaurant Villa de la Reina serves numerous Mediterranean courses and specialities from its varied menu card. Special menus for companies and particular guests, always previously pre-reserved and agreed with our Sales Department. Please check the timetable of this service first with the hotel staff.

WIFI access free of charge!!! Good location, nice bar // good breakfast // good access by Metro (also for going to/ from airport by Metro). Bath room sufficently large and clean + well equipped.

Room by far too small // no cupboard // no over-coat hanger, insufficient facilities to store clothes // no possibility to store luggage. Table too small (= micro table)!!

We spent seven wonderful nights at H10 Villa de la Reina. We had wanted a comfortable hotel in the 80-90 Euro range, and this surpassed our expectations. From the moment we arrived (and were allowed to check-in two hours early), we knew we had chosen the right location for our family. The hotel staff we came into contact with was extremely helpful and courteous. The front desk staff were always available to answer our many questions, the housekeepers were very thorough, the maintenance man (whose name unfortunately escapes us) quickly brought us another TV and remote control when ours were not working, and the restaurant staff prepared a delicious breakfast. We had a clean, pretty, double room on the fourth floor overlooking Gran Via. Lots of traffic, but with the balcony doors closed, we couldn't hear it. We also traveled with our infant son and felt he was especially cared for by the staff at Villa de la Reina. The crib and bed linens were new and changed twice while we were there. He even had his own very cute bath towels! Overall, we had a wonderful time in Madrid and would highly recommend this hotel. It is in a superb location within walking distance of the metro and many eating and shopping establishments. For a great time, do not hesitate to stay at H10 Villa de la Reina! –Happy guests from California, USA

We noticed on our fifth night a soft rattling noise in the air conditioning vent. It wasn't loud enough to cause us to alert the staff, and we were able to sleep soundly after our full days of exploring Madrid.

The overall hotel experience was much better than I had hoped for. The Villa de la Reina's rooms are very contemporary, updated and clean. I loved the combo closet, drawers and mini bar system that allowed all of my personal items to be located together for convenience. The pictures that are shown on the website are exactly as the rooms look. The single, had a double bed and the daily fresh towels and linens were very much appreciated. I had a room at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. There are less than 10 rooms per section on each floor so the noise from other guests is really minimal. The hotel bar served food and drinks so I never used room service. I could grab a cup of tea or a snack nearly any time I wanted. The restaurant's breakfast was 16 euros and worth it if you want to have a good meal before heading out for a day of sightseeing. There was a large assortment of items to choose from and I wished I had known about the restaurant earlier in my stay. The business center is a desk with 2 computers in a corner of the lobby and it was nice to be able to check e-mail, plan a day trip or check the Dodger's scores. The staff was very quick and helpful whether I needed an iron, directions to the Metro station or suggestions on a neighborhood restaurant. The wait staff at the bar/cafe and restaurant were just a pleasant and helpful with menu recommendations. I had no trouble communicating with my limited Spanish and there is always someone at the reception area that speaks English fluently. The location was ideal for this first-time Madrid visitor as the hotel is on Gran Via and was central to everything that I wanted to visit. I could walk nearly everywhere and there is a Metro station entrance one block away. I felt safe in the neighborhood and anything I wanted (food, shopping, pharmacy, banks, etc.) is nearby. I am looking forward to visiting another H10 property (maybe Rome!) soon. Thank you!

The online description doesn't accurately describe all of the benefits of the hotel so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the lobby and room. Is that a bad thing?
