The staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. It makes my stay more pleasant each week when I am recognized upon arrival and during my stay. They go out of their way to make sure that I am as comfortable as I can be while away from home.
The evening housekeeping supervisor was very quick to respond to the fact that my room had not been cleaned upon my return one evening. He cleaned the room himself and did a very thorough job in a short amount of time.
Upon returning to my room from work one evening, I found that my room had not been cleaned. I did not have the 'do not disturb' sign on my door. My room was not cleaned and I was quite irate to return to a room that had not been cleaned - dirty towels, unmade bed, and not freshened up at all. Every week that I am at this hotel, there seems to be some sort of issue. I have yet to have an enjoyable stay. I have been staying at this hotel since September.
Again, I was placed in a small room with the small bathroom and on the farthest end away from the Concierge lounge. I did not make my arrival until after midnight Sunday and very disappointed and apprehensive about having to walk so far with my luggage in order to get to my room...there was no valet or bellman on staff. I was sick all of the week while in Lexington and it would have been nice to be able to get water, tea etc. from the Concierge lounge had it been close by.
I liked the room this week. It was a larger room, with a separate vanity, bathroom, and shower - which is very important. And the room was located on the same side as the Concierge lounge.
I requested a refrigerator and microwave prior to checking in to the hotel. I called and was told that it was noted in my reservation. One of the front desk staff brought the items to my room and the front desk called later as a follow-up to make sure that I had received my items.
I have stayed at this hotel several times since September and each time I am always put in the smaller rooms with less amenities. As a Platinum member, I would think that I would get one of the larger rooms with the larger bathrooms. I hate the small cramped rooms and the outside noise from the golf course, etc. is very disturbing. I have been told that I would be on the side where the concierge lounge is located and I have yet to be in that area. I am always on the total opposite side of the concierge lounge and it is always noisy.
