It is only 15 km from Paderborn centre to Paderborn-Lippstadt airport, and you can quickly cover this distance with the local public transport or by taxi. By car, you will travel via the A 2, A 33 or A 44 from all directions into the city. Regular regional and long-distance trains connect the city with Hannover, Kassel and Dortmund.
When visiting the city-centre you will almost inevitably see thePaderborner Dom “Paderborner Cathedral”. It is an enchanting sight from both the outside and inside and it will tell you a lot about European history. You should definitely also pay a visit to the crypt in order to get an overall impression.

For evening entertainment, the two large cinemas in Paderborn are to be recommended, the "Cineplex" and the "UCI Kinowelt". You will find them both directly in the city-centre: the "Cineplex" on the Westernstraße and the "Kinowelt" next to the Libori-Galerie.
The cocktail bar Blauer Engel has a long tradition in the Heiersstr. 33, and it was extensively renovated in July 2005. The modern furnishing shapes the atmosphere of the bar in which you can try various high-quality wines, beers, cocktails and cigars for corresponding prices.
