The hotel is right in the pulsing heart of the city, yet away from its urban bustle on the famous Rosenstrasse (Rose Street) in a building that has been part of Berlin's historic past.

Rooms

When you enter Alexander Plaza, you instantly realize what a unique hotel it is. The building was first designed for Berlin merchants at the height of the 19th century. Its large windows, high ceilings and superb stucco – this is what distinguishes us from so many other hotels.

You can do much more than simply turn around in our rooms – you could even have a dance here. Or you can simply savour the magnificence of its classic architecture as a place to truly live in and enjoy the comforts of life during your stay in Berlin.

The rooms, which were arranged and furnished by a Berlin interior designer, feature a contemporary timeless style combining fine woods, harmonious colours and loving details that accentuate the hotel's historic architecture. The expansive panorama windows provide natural light and a wonderful view. And to ensure that you sleep soundly, all rooms are especially well soundproofed. Permitting you to decide when you are ready to experience the pulsating, vibrant life of the city.

All our rooms of course have a mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, telephone with voicemail, flat screen, pay TV, fax, PC connection and WLAN.

Cuisine

Whenever our guests extend their breakfast over the whole day, it seems that, in addition to the breakfast itself, this is often due to the comfort of our winter garden. But our bar and bistro are also equally enjoyable places for a sojourn. Many of our hotel guests arrange to meet here, while those attending conferences often avail of them for a chat beyond the conference – in a completely relaxed atmosphere with a light and delicious snack perhaps. The cuisine and dining facilities in Alexander Plaza are very much in the tradition of good hotels – as places to relax and enjoy excellent food in the big city, somewhere between business meetings and an extended living room.

Our winter garden is a light-filled atrium inside the covered courtyard of the stately building. The golden age of the industrial culture is combined perfectly here with modern design elements – and an excellent breakfast.

After an eventful day in the bustling city, our wellness area invites you to enjoy pure relaxation. Enjoy a classic Finnish-style sauna. Had a long day with little time to enjoy the sun? Then head for our solarium – it makes all the difference. Put up your feet, switch off and enjoy our oasis of calm and relaxation. Conferences

We have six different conference rooms – named after the artists exhibited in our hotel – for your seminars, conferences, training events or business meetings. Depending on the number of conference participants, we offer rooms between 48 m2/515 ft2 and 144 m2/1,550 ft2. Each room can be arranged and equipped to meet your individual needs. Standard conference equipment is available in all rooms. And we are always delighted to fulfill any special requirements or requests you may have.
