Sea view rooms offer panoramic views of Whitley Bay's blue flag beach and iconic St Mary's Lighthouse. All our rooms are en-suite and offer a flat-screen TV, free WIFI, tea/coffee facilities allowing you to rest and refresh with ease. Set on the seafront Promenade and few steps onto Whitley Bay beach, the Royal hotel could be any closer to the sandy beaches and popular promenade full of bustling restaurants and bars. Only a few yards from the famous Spanish City, Whitley Bay town centre, and a couple of miles from St Mary’s lighthouse, this is an excellent base to explore Tyneside, the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, and Northumberland. NOTICE: The property is currently undergoing necessary renovations to the front elevation. The hotel remains open as usual with minimal impact on your stay.
