There is a special place on the Island of Elba where time has stopped and where visitors can relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, and avoid the noisy tourism that unfortunately is typical of holiday resorts today. The splendid landscape of this area is very difficult to describe. The deep reds of the earth contrasts with the green of the pine trees creating an ever changing prospective that must be seen to be believed. The estate is surrounded by 12km of coastline. The sea is a shade of light, diaphanous blue that is almost unreal. Its cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of herring gulls in Italy.

The Eighteenth Century Villa is located at the heart of the estate ( 450 hectares of pines, fruit orchards, vineyards, Mediterranean Maquis and cultivated fields descending softly towards the sea). Throughout the various restoration works, that have transformed it into a luxurious, boutique hotel, the Villa itself has retained all its original charm and beauty. The farm estate is situated around the villa and it has also undergone extensive works that have transformed the farm buildings into 40 comfortable accommodation buildings. The feeling of being at one with Nature is even more accentuated when staying in one of the approximately 20 villas, small villas and chalets that are dotted through the pine woods and the surrounding area, removed from the centre of the resort against the amazing coastal backdrop.
