The Snowdon Mountain Railway is within 100 metres and provides a breathtaking journey up the mountain to the summit. Rock climbing, hiking, and canoeing are all available in the local area. At The Royal Victoria Hotel, the Padarn and Victoria restaurants serve traditional cuisine, and a continental breakfast comes included. The well stocked Eryri Bar and Lounge offers a relaxing environment after a hard days hiking. The Royal Victoria is set in 30 acres of grounds which contain the 13th-century Dolbadarn Castle. Bangor Train Station is 12 miles away and Tyddyn Mawr Golf Course is just 5 miles away. The Royal Victoria Hotel is the perfect place to set your base camp for exploring Snowdonia National Park, Anglesey and beyond. The hotel is a popular wedding and event venue, particularly at weekends, and due to the nature of these events hotel guests may experience some additional noise. For group bookings of 5 or more rooms the following policies apply: The guest will be charged a 20% non-refundable deposit and full payment will be required 7 days prior to the arrival. The guest will receive an 80% refund if they cancel by 14:00 the day before their arrival. Please note that meals on the 31 st of December will only be available in the Main Bar until 17:45. The Hotel Restaurant will be closed for a Gala Dinner on this date. Please note that the bar and restaurant will close at 23:00 until further notice.
