Evaluations of West Beach
Ideal location and suited our requirements for both the rugby and evening.
Obviously it was pricier due to the rugby.
My negative thing for me was the constant traffic off noisey guests going past corridor outside my room was very noisey.got no sleep, also large streetbins outside the window of my room crashing of bottles all nignt and at 6am being emptied.wont be staying there again.
Staff were helpful
Exorbitant cost for type of accommodation offered.
Was on the 3rd floor and could people upstairs walking around, squeekie floor boards!!!
Staff were great!
Paper thin walls
Room was clean and modern.
The room did not have a mirror in the bedroom which made it very hard to do makeup. I had to literally learn over the bathroom sink in the morning to do my makeup. I had to straighten hair in the bedroom and couldn't see what on earth I was doing. Room 305 is right near the front and the Windows do not drown out street noise whatsoever. Was so noisy me and my partner got hardly any sleep. Only one pillow each provided for a double bed when usually you should get two each. Could hear everybody in surrounding rooms too. Overall not worth the money.
The receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the wifi in the room was excellent. The bathroom was new and the shower and hot water were good. There were two public computers for use by guests in reception. The location of the hotel was good, being a short walk from the pier, town centre etc, and facing the sea.
We were in room 211. The furnishings were basic or less (only one bedside table in a room with a very large double bed, and no armchair, no lighting on the side of the room where the electric point and built-in work desk were situated.) There was only one pillow each. Both window panes were cracked across and mended roughly with resin. The curtains were thin and there were no nets or blinds to screen the room from the windows across the narrow street. There was no double glazing and we were woken up all night by people shouting in the street.
Friendly helpful staff
The room was noisy (unknown source/type) from early in the morning. Bathroom was supplied with warm, not hot water.
Room was clean & tidy
Too hot, windows didn't open and were so old they were foggy. Took 1.5 hours to get extra pillows, night club downstairs way too loud and full of foreign students at breakfast having language lessons, went elsewhere to eat
