Between Potsdam the city of palaces and the cathedral city of Brandenburg, you will find the small town of Werder (Havel). From Berlin-Schönefeld Airport you merely have to travel around half an hour by regional train to Werder (Havel). By car you can reach Werder via the A 10 or the B 1. If you have booked a hotel in Berlin or Potsdam, the journey by boat is a lovely alternative.

In the countryside, you will be enticed by the "Panoramaweg Werderobst" with its around 15 kilometres and let your eye wander over the expansive fruit plantations and the landscape of the Havel lakes. Here you will find the largest continuous sweet cherry orchards in the whole of Germany.
The GalerieWerkstatt FORMKONTOR in the "Historischen Inselhaus Werder" (Historical Island House Werder) (year of construction 1748), will present you with the works of the designer and garden planner Anja Möller. These movements and forms of nature allude to the phases of life for humans.
In the Stadtgalerie on the island town of Werder, the focus is placed on modern art. Since 2008, there have been perfect exhibition conditions for the artistic representation of various categories on the top floor of this reconstructed clubhouse.
The Restaurant Orangerie belongs to the Frucht-Erlebnis-Garten in the Werder district of Petzow. It offers you the regional country-style and gourmet sea buckthorn cuisine for family friendly prices. If the weather is nice, you can go and sit on the lake terrace. There is also an adjoining farm shop in which you can purchase wines, liquors, fruit spreads and above all the sea buckthorn which is produced on-site.
