The staff was courteous and catered to my need within minutes which was impressive.

Poor restaurant service, in comparison to other hotels of this kind
I booked a deluxe room for $285 (Bkfst not inclulded--booked thru Travel Res on-line) including the 10% tax (assigned to the 7th floor out of 14). Room was very nicely appointed with fresh flower items replaced on towel service in bathroom and on turn-down service. Staff always greeting me and saying hello, good morning, etc. opening doors, etc. Always volunteering some extra service in the breakfast area. Very close (15 minue walk) to shopping street--Colaba Causeway and 20Rs taxi to Gateway of India. Sales manager treated me to a set price dinner to experience what my group (anticipated) would experience in return visit, January 2009. Very attentive and helpful. Food was very nice and tastey. Readers should realize that I am a fussy person, but not negative and I am able to be pleased more easily than disappointed. Overall, extremely pleased and will stay again.
Asked to speak with a group staff person and waited 20 minutes. But Sherry at fron desk was very upset by this and intervened on my behalf and the sales manager promptly came out to visit with me about a group reservation for January 2009. I experienced this same delay at another hotel, so it is probably just Indian people being busy and a little of ´´Indian standard time.´´
