Wonderful location with greta view of old bridge, Nekar River or Old Heidelberg depending on room. CLean, older hotel well maintained. STaff was outstanding and friendly and very helpful finding things. Free parking a couple blocks down the street (this was fine as no need for car once in Heidelberg).

With no central A/C, noises from side walk restaurants (talking, laughing, etc.) can be heard at night through open windows. Not a big deal.

Nice big room. Clean. Nice view on the river. Friendly staff !

Breakfast is good but modest and everyday the same ! If room on front, it is very noisy.... heavy traffic and many loud people who drank too much. You have to pay for the parking = 9 euro daily.

Practically the only hotel in the area searchable by internet that would accommodate three or four to a room. The friendliness and hospitality, especially of the weekday daytime host was extraordinary. the check in and check out process was extremely quick. We barely even gave our name and they handed us a key. We had two stays two days apart and they kept luggage for us, waiting in our room upon our return. Staff called us by name. Surprisingly large room and cabinets. Daily free breakfast, although modest portions, included meat, cheese, breads, cereals, juices, coffee. Location is fantastic, in the old city, just yards away from the Old Bridge and the Hauptstraus, the shopping/dining/entertainment street. Numerous restaurants. View of the Neckar River and Schlossberg Castle (A great and inexpensive tourist must see)

No air conditioning meant leaving windows open which was very noisy from the traffic below (Especially with Germany's victories in Euro Cup Soccer this week). No lobby, literally. The entry was 4 ft by 4 ft and the space for the hotel receptionist was smaller. Very small TVs with few channels. Small bathroom. Strange shaped pillows, some feather, some poly, but only feather comforters but may have special requests available for allergic conditions. No elevator. Only one staff person in evenings. So lugging suitcases up three flights of stairs is not fun. The name of the Hotel means Four Seasons but this is not a chain and no relationship with Four Season's hotels in America or elsewhere. (Although probably this hotel founded the concept as it was historically one of the first in Europe to offer year round accommodations) Be careful booking as there are hotels of the same name in other European cities.

The hotel lost my hotel.de reservation, but was able to get me another room. At first, no electricity in the room. They fixed this. Then the surprise this morning - no hot water! This hotel, with a wonderful view of the river, has definitely slipped in quality.

Internet via iPass (Provider: cloud) Im touristischen Epizentrum Heidelbergs // )

The breakfast is terible, always the same! No ham and eggs or scrambled egg, you get always only cold cuts.
