Hotel location
Evaluations of Tylney Hall
Beautiful building and lovely grounds. Very dog friendly accommodation. Great welcome doggy pack - bowl, bed, Arden Grange kibble and treats.
We did not have dinner. Breakfast in the smaller dining room was ok - but could do better. Limited selection of fruit available, 'greasy spoon cafe' fry up - little flair! Would be nice to have a dog-friendly bar/inside space - i sat on the verandah (cold but lovely views) while partner used the spa ... would have been nice to be inside for a coffee and not to have to tie dog outside, but having said that the doormen were great in keeping an eye on her.
evening restaurant is highly recommended. Christmas decor was lovely.
Reception staff not very welcoming as we arrived - ignored us as they were in the middle of a query and continued to sort out their query. Also did not respond to query about a parking. I felt that this was a shame as the restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Walking to my room no. 109 by wet weather with high heels before and after dinner - by night and without light...
You need a taxi or a car to get to the hotel from the station but the place is wonderful. Big old trees. Don't refuse staff help to navigate you to your room :)
Only go for a room in the main building in winter.
