Evaluations of TRAVELODGE RAMSGATE SEAFRONT
Friendliness and competence of the hotel staff
Not helpful reception staff .very basic
Very spacious room with a good sized bathroom, comfortable double bed and television Would have been perfect if I could have seen outside
The balcony was blocked off and the window was frosted which meant a potential sea view was obscured
Very pleasant staff, very convenient location, parking (paid) very close. Room was a good size.
There was a problem with a steak and ale pie which was not cooked sufficiently. When the problem was mentioned it was sorted out. There also seemed some problem with language as an offer in the restaurant was not followed through.
Location of hotel Cleanliness Genuine friendliness of staff
There was nothing not to like other than it would have been helpful to have had a bath matt - the shower curtain fell short of the shower tray and the bathroom floor got quite wet - having said that the receptionist provided extra towels. We appreciate it is a reasonably priced room but either bedside shelves or a small cabinet would be useful at each side of the bed.
The staff are great the room (213) is the best, overlooking the marina and port, the beds are lovely the walk in wet room is ace, it is a disabled room so just say you need a disabled room and you will get a great room. The location is the best hotel in Kent, 30 seconds to the local police station 20 seconds to the post office / paper shop. the Sunshine café is 45 seconds away, best breakfast you will ever have and only £5.10 including a good mug of tea. You can get fish AND chips for as little as £3.50 just walk out of the hotel front door, turn left to road, then left again past 3 pubs to find the little fish n chip shop, lovely food and very cheap. There are 2 pubs very close by, but they do turn the music down at 11pm, it really didn`t bother me
The Wi-Fi is rubbish and they gave me my money back, but they say they will get it sorted out, so if this is done, then there will be no problem. Parking is across the road in the multi-story I was told it was £14.00 for Friday and you get Saturday for free, but you should double check.
staff very helpfull and friendly Made you feel you were a special guest
cannot find anything to dislike
