Good location for Manchester academy, which we needed, it was about a 5 minute walk away.

We booked a double room but were given a twin room, the beds wouldnt even join together so we had to use them as singles. The en-suite bathroom was one for a disabled person, this meant that the configuration of the room was difficult to use, especially for my self as everything was very low down, there was also no bath. The television had very poor signal but we didn't really use that anyway. We were located on a busy road which meant that when we had the window open it was very noisy, thankfully it wasn't to bad when it was closed. Finally at the top of one of the was a smearing of poo, which had clearly been there a while is it looked dry from a distance.

easy to find and close to manchester university Whitworth park student accommodation. Free and easy parking. Check out at 12.00 which meant a lazy breakfast with our daughter so no rushing around.

we had a room on the front which had a bit of road noise

Staff very friendly and helpful e.g. on the day I checked out they let me leave my car in their secure car park for most of day which saved me having to pay Manchester city parking prices or leaving it on a random street outside the city centre. Room may only be what you would expect from a budget hotel but it was clean and a decent size, City centre is walkable in around 30 minutes. Car park is secure although I do also have one negative comment about it, see the other coment box for why!

Hotel is on a busy trunk road into Manchester and there is a hospital nearby so ask for a room towards the back of the hotel, otherwise it will be noisy with traffic all night. I ended up with a room right at the front which was as noisy as it gets and didn't sleep properly for the 3 nights I was there. Sound proofing in the rooms isn't too good either e.g. on my first night I could hear a baby crying. Although car park is secure they seemed to leave a pedestrian gate at the rear of the car park open during the day, which rather defeats the purpose of the otherwise secure car park...
