"Friendly staff. Central location. Size of the bed."
 
"Noise levels, uncontrollable heating levels, smell of damp in bathroom, pillows like concrete, and no option available, no bedside locker on one side of the bed drinks overpriced as is the food."

"I liked the fact that it was so central for shops,sightseeing and transport. The breakfast was good value and the bar staff helpful when advising wines etc."
 
"Although the room was small I felt it could have done with some heating in the bathroom especially the towel rail which did not seem to be connected to anything."

"Locality was the top quality of this hotel. Prices were very high, probably due to the Edinborough Festival being on."

"location, location, location! Well suited to access Waverley Station, Princes Street, George Street, Hanover Street, North Bridge, Royal Mile etc."
 
"Busy thoroughfare outside hotel meant constant noise from buses (late into night), traffic, party goers etc. Disturbed nights sleep due to noise level."
