The evening meal of rump steak was delicious and perfectly cooked as medium rare. I asked for a side dish of veg instead of chips and they were fresh nad tasty.

Old fashioned and dates interior both in the public spaces and the bedroom. Not suitable for business guests. Wifi poor and no Vodaphone signal. Staff in the evening did not seem to be able to cope with a tourist group. Had to ask for my drink about 3 times. I wanted to watch the cup final on the TV and on asking whether they had BT sport just got a no thrown over his shoulder as he walked past me. Luckily I did not trust him and asked reception for the remote and lo and behold, there was BT sport. The manager had no interest in pleasing his guests requests.

Friendly staff who aimed for customer satisfaction

Areas in the room were very dusty, my window was next to the car park and people outside taking a cigarette were noisy. The evening mealwas not to an acceptable standard for the money. The salmon tasted as though it did not have long before expirey and the steak that I asked for medium was uncooked and bloody.
