In dem kleinen Weinort Mailberg im Pulkautal liegt, umgeben von Weingärten und einem Burggraben, das geschichtsträchtige Schlosshotel Mailberg. Im 11. Jh. durch Ritter von Chadolt erbaut, befindet sich das Schloss seit 1146 im Besitz des Souveränen Malteser-Ritter-Ordens. Durch all die Jahrhunderte diente das Schloss dem Schutz, der Verpflegung und Verköstigung von Reisenden und Pilgern.
