Hotel location
Evaluations of Rija Irina
Hotel is well located. You can walk to the city center just in 10 minutes and to the main stations in 5 min. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby. There is a busy street in front but in the room you can stay quiet and relaxing without any problem. The breakfast is good for a 3star hotel. The rooms are clean and the hotel stuff is helpful. Nothing to complain generally.
In all hotels you can have free wifi at least in lobby but here you have to pay even for 1min. of internet usage. After our check out we had to wait 4 hours for our flight and they wanted money again for leaving our bags in the hotel.
location, wifi, friendly staff
no pool, no parking, so description should be modified
The hotel is in a perfect location for those travelling by train as it is just across teh road from the railway station. It is also closely situated to the Old City of Riga and the Centrul Bus Station - about 5 minutes of walk. A bus stop of a bus going to the Open Air Museum is conveniently situeted on the same street. The furniture is quite new. The most positive impression - i was allowed to check in before the check-in time.
The personnel are not friendly. In my case they did not try to check my reservation at all. I had had to make 2 separate bookings for a non-smoking room, thus i had sent a separate e-mail asking to refer the bookings to the same room. However, when i arrived it took a while to realize i have booked to rooms and the room i got was badly smoked-through. The carpet was all stained and i was surprised to find no shampoo/shower gel package which is normally included at 3*** hotels in Europe.
