I made a reservation online to Ritter hotel about two and a half weeks ahead of time. I arrive there and the door of the hotel was locked. You don't even know if it was an entrance to begin with. Then an asian guy comes out, I believe he is Chinese. He spoke in really bad german and bad english mixed. No introduction whatsoever. I told him I have a reservation and it took him a while to find it. When he did, he tells me that I don't have a room. Great! Apparently my card didn't go through. So if it didn't, why didn't I get any email or notification telling me that I don't have a room. Besides, they just want a credit card number as a deposit. Then he told me to go to another hotel. I asked him if he can do that and then he did it after. He offered then a very expensive hotel, double the price I booked it for. In the end, I had no room and he couldn't do anything for me. He was unprofessional, didn't have any clue of what he was doing. No customer service experience and it was the worst experience I have ever had from any hotel I had booked in the world. I will never suggest this hotel to anyone, in fact I will tell everyone I know how bad my experience was and will tell social media about it too.

Hotel was very attractive, if somewhat obscure for entry. Could use a bit more cleaning in rooms, or new carpets. Area very noisy on weekends & must be impossible on Summer nights. Could use a furniture upgrade.
Der Eigentümer spricht nur schlecht deutsch Hotelzimmer liegt über einer Kneipe, die bis spät in die Nacht geöffnet ist. Lärm ist kaum erträglich.
We were unpleasantly surpised as we saw our room, which turned to be a tiny dark space with two separate beds put together. The windows of the room face not the street, but an air well surrounded by other 3 walls of the building - feels like in the prison. The room in reality was starkly opposite to what was on the photos provided at hotel's website. The corridors of the hotel are dark and with an unpleasant smell.
Right in the centre of cider walk. This meant no parking.
Lock broke on door on first use. kept breaking. Was asked for cash in payment even though had reserved by credit card. Very noisy until about 0300.
