Evaluations of Renaissance New York Hotel 57
Good location in Midtown, with access to multiple area restaurants and sights. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the television has WebTV features including Netflix and Hulu, although you need a personal subscription to use them. This location has a decent fitness room, and is also only a few blocks away from Central Park. Overall the location is serviceable and decent for business travel.
Rooms were small, but it is NYC so that is to be expected. Beds are single-mattress and soft but provide sub-par support which can aggravate back problems. In my room some of the electrical switches and lamps did not work, and the shower alternated between normal water pressure and no pressure at all. Breakfast was below average and you can find better breakfasts at a reasonable price on the same block. Breakfast was also included with my reservation when I booked, but I had to have the front desk manually add it to my reservation after arriving.
I had to wait for more than half an hour at the counter since the booking was not traceable. Front desk staff was not courteous and helpful. Shall never stay in this hotel ever. I am surprised that Bosch has recommended this hotel.
the rooms are very nice.
hotel in under renovation. When you enter the lobby, you are walking through a construction zone. work area chair is horable.
Noisy rooms and very tiny Very inefficient, unfriendly incompetent staff
