Evaluations of Pavillon Louvre Rivoli
staff helpful and friendly whilst we were there
I lost a piece of jewellery in the room I think, just before departure. I have telephoned the hotel 2 times and written detailed email asking if the item has been found on 6 June in room 22 but I got no reply at all and still do not know!
Showed up to check in and as I was walking through the door the receptionist waved his hands in a manner suggesting the word ´´no´´ and proceeded to speak in French. I showed him the print out of my reservation and he looked at it and waved his hands in the same manner. After a while of me standing there he muttered the words ´´completely booked, no room´´. We left to find another place and were unsuccessful. Finally around 11:00PM a hotel clerk at another hotel informed us that the hotel must provide us other accommodations if they overbooked the hotel. We went back to the hotel to find several other families/couples that also had their reservations denied. One of the denied guests spoke French and then the receptionist began speaking English. He told us that they would put us up in another hotel. They gave us rooms way outside the city center and charged us the same rate. It was about 30 Euros to get to the other hotel. It was a horrible experience.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is based in the centre of Paris with easy access to a range of sights and transport links.
Hotel is small and crammed - too many rooms in a small urban building. Each room is of a small size with prehistoric decor and limited facilities.
Great location. Friendly staff.
Not luxury. Limited low quality breakfast (but it's Paris - just go to a cafe!) Rooms that face the courtyard are dark so ask for a street-facing room. Internet was not working on 3eme etage.
Mechanical issues with rooms. Had to change rooms. Breakfast supposed to be included but was not.
The receptionist was very responsible and helped me to take out my dropped earring from the pipe below the wash-basin, even during the busy morning period.
My colleague was introduced to a wrong room.
