Evaluations of Old Ship Brighton
Clean sheets and a comfortable bed.
I wasn't particularly keen on the bar food which I found expensive and not of a particularly high quality.
Tired room - needs an update (toi be like reception and dining room)
no parking avalible overcharged for room even after telling the staff had to produce booking conformation the next day to get a refund
Right on the sea front and a great location. It's a very good hotel if you're a heavy sleeper and don't care about damp.
The wait at reception for check in and check out amounted to just over an hour, which is totally unacceptable. Improvements are needed to run a more efficient reception area. The door to our room had a big gap underneath it and a creaky floor outside. This woke us up a few times in the night when people were coming in late.
Good breakfast, comftable bed, good shower.
The room was a bit tired looking, a few marks on the walls. No main light, just lamps around the room which meant our room was a bit dark as it seemed to be in the middle of the hotel.
Walking distance to Brighton Palace, Brighton Pier. In the centre of restaurants and clubs area, also shopping area is in walking distance. Really nice possition.
Very expansive internet connection in the room. In the lobby is internet available only for 30 minutes for free (but slow). Old bathrooms.
