Evaluations of Novotel Lille Centre Grand-Place
Very friendly staff. Modern hotel. Well placed for city centre.
Due to overbooking, I only spent one night (instead of two) at this hotel. I received a call (when I was on the train) to say I had been re-booked into the Novotel at the station for the first night. The lady who called me was extremely apologetic. I heard that hotels in Lille were more than 95% full that week.
Staff on the front desk were very polite and helpful.
Room stank of smoke. I asked to be moved but the hotel was full and this was not possible. I had to leave the window open at all times. It was very unpleasant - even the hairdryer pushed out foul smelling air.
Everytime you go in a Novotel is just the same in any city: you know what you are expecting.
The staff reception didn't realized that the hotel has been pre-payed, and so they charged me twice. Furthrmore I lost 30 minutes in discussing this.

A.why we were given a disable room I dont know but the bathroom facilities were not very good and it lacked ´´privacy´´, B.parking is a bit of a nightmare if you have lots of luggage
The only problem with this hotel: air circulation very inadequate. Very stuffy.
