Evaluations of Nagerl Landhotel
nice, small, quiet, and quaint town. Food tasted quite good, to my surprise.
upon entering this town of 1000inhabitants, it took more than 45min to get to the hotel due to multiple road closures, no detours available, and quite indifferent staff when called upon for support. extremely frustrating. Very few restaurant choices in the area.
Restaurant noise continues till midnight.
Quaint. Good food. Comfortable.
The stairwell by the room was a little noisy.
down-to-earth, solid establishment small, thus no mass processing local atmosphere train connection close to nature
trains go only every second hour be aware of closing hours
Value for money.
Room smelt a little of smoke. It was clear that people had smoked in our room.
Supposed to be an airport hotel 5 km from airport but 25 minutes taxi ride from airport, estimate 15km.
In general, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Due to a mistake on our part, we arrived a day early and they were able to find a room for us. The food is excellent, with large portions at reasonable prices.
The man at the reception desk was very helpful in finding us a room when we arrived, but otherwise he seemed incapable of, or unwilling, to be particuarly helpful. Two examples: When I came down for breakfast, he asked if I would like coffee or tea. I told him coffee. After waiting for the coffee for 15 - 20 mins, I reminded him that I hadn't gotten it yet. It had slipped his mind, which was okay as I know things happen. But then, instead of going to the kitchen for the coffee, he went to an empty table and brought over a cup of coffee that had been unused by some other guest! Had I wanted another cup, I would have been forced to hunt him down. The second example: I need to get some gas for our car, so I asked him if there was a gas station in the town. He pointed in the direction of the town and said ´´in the town center´´ - no other directions were forthcoming. After some hunting I did find the gast station. The Gasthof seems to be cutting corners to save money. For instance, in most hotels and inns that my wife and I have stayed in, you are given a ´´Kannchen´´ or small pot, of coffee (or tea) at breakfast. The Kannchen is usually sufficient for 2 - 2.5 cups. At this establishment you have to ask to have your cup refilled. As there is no waiter/waitress on duty, you have to find the desk clerk at the reception for a refill. Another example: When my wife ordered a meal that had french fries (chips in the UK), it was served with a packet of ketchup. Would it have been too much to ask to bring a bottle of kitchup? If staying at this Gasthof, do NOT get a room that faces the front of the building. About 150 meters away from the Gasthof is one of the main railway lines that goes to Munich. If you are in one of the front rooms, the Bundesbahn will ensure you don't get a full night's sleep. Another downside to our room - the TV was mouned on the wall at the head end of the bed. It was as if they moved the furniture around and forgot to move the TV...very odd. I don't want to sound nit-picky about our stay at the Nargerl. It is a clean establishment with comfortable beds and the food is excellent. I understand there isn't much they can do about the noise generated by passing freight and Inter-City trains, but if they could improve on the other examples I cited, it would be a much nicer place to stay.
Good clean hotel and friendly stuff.
Difficult to find, especially at night, no cold storage in room, coffe maker or hot water for tea.
the room was really loud and was difficult to sleep correctly. Some lights are not working . The WiFi does also not work properly with interruptions in the connection.
Delicious coffee. Quiet home-like feel. Didn't hear any other guests. Cute and quaint rooms. Very comfortable bed. Close to train station.
Distance from hotel to airport is incorrect on hotel.info website. No airport shuttle, although one is advertised, and confirmed over the phone with hotel staff the night before. Forced to pay 25 euro for taxi due to upcoming flight. No breakfast offered, given coffee but then charged 3 euros for it. Hornet in my room when I woke up. Unimpressive shampoo packet, no conditioner.
