Evaluations of Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain
Great location in the heart of the downtown. Staff if friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. Room conditioning is perfect.
Doormen are lazy. Gym is really poor.
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff.
There are no complimentary benifits in the hotel. No water bottle, no complimentary breakfast or dinner
Nice location, and bar
Concierge Level is weak
Great hotel and friendly staff
Some noise in the room, I think from the elevator (not terrible)
Very friendly - which is unusual for a hotel of this size
Getting older. Public roons such as restaurant and bar rather dingy,
It is really nice hotel in terms of amenities and location.
I noticed that they focus a lot on recycling and avoiding waste (which is true all over Montreal). This is good but for some reason they never replenished my liquid body scrub (soap) over 4 days. I ran out of it on the last morning while showering.
When I went to my room after checking in - there was already someone in the room. Very concerning that I had been given an occupied room. I raised concerns that if I had been checking in very late this could have been a very upsetting situation for all involved.
Very well located in the center of the city, direct Metro access.
Even if turned off the AC makes some noise. Unable to cool the room at night. The room remains constant temp. of about 22°C ignoring the AC settings. Given the warm blanket during winter time this leads to unconfortable sleep. It is not possible to open a window.
The location is great.
The front desk at night (I arrive at Monday 12AM every Sunday), they are not accomodating. The valet service is very poor, they ignore you even if you are struggling with your suitcases to bring up the stairs.
