food was very good and the staff especially at the restaurant friendly and polite. Airport shuttle was a pleasant surprise! The bed was comfortable, the room very quiet and I liked the idea of the coffee machine even though I didn't know how to operate it, I've never used such a gadget.
the rug on the floor(s) is just horendous. I asked for an allergy room (I have asthma) and apparently there is none, all the rooms have that gastly wall-to-wall carpet. Don't you think in these times and ages it's a bit old-fashioned to have such carpets? There are floor materials nowadays which absorb noise as well as the rug. And it's easier to keep clean. Also I have to say about the breakfast time. Your name says airport hotel so why is it that your breakfast doesn't start until 6:30am? There are flights leaving at 6am... there was coffee and biscuits available before that time but no take-away mugs so I had my breakfast at the station instead. The other morning I did have breakfast at the hotel and it was very good, thank you for that. All the channels in TV were in German :D
Friendliness and competence of the hotel staff
Staff was friendly.
English TV stations were only the news stations. Restaurant was only average and no other restaurants within walking distance.
Staff helpfull and friendly
No smoking room smelling after smoke (staff offered other room, but for only 1 night we decided not to want so much trouble) Had problems with WLAN (extremely slow). Possibly because the SSID 'Mercure' which was several times available was not the right one, it had to be something like mp3 corresponding with the similar name for logging in the password etc via website. Not clear!
Rooms do not represent 4* and do not represent the images on the website. 2 stars would be more realistic, so it is hopelessly overpriced.
On television the channel that interested me was not functioning. It is a franch channel, for a french hotel???

really enjoyed the stay. staff very good, room wonderful, very good for families particularly for a largely business hotel
could do with more info in the room about the hotel and how to access public transport. would also have been useful to kow that they provided transport to the airport
Staff unfriendly, available services do not match early flight needs (airport shuttle start at 5.00am when airlines request passengers to be at the airport 4.30am). Invoicing process does not match corporation specific needs (invoice issued to hotel.de and not to my company name) Hotel is also far from the good Stuttgart train system.
