Overpriced and very small room
I like its location, very convenient. price over quality is a good balance.

Outstanding quality of breakfast, a lot of things to chose from, better than what you get at some 5* places. Good quality is also the restaurant, shot but very good selection of wines. Restaurant staff was very attentative.
I was assigned a tiny, tiny room, I hardly remember having stayed in such a small room.

Room very small, A/C was shut-off at 11 PM overnight, this hasn't been changed during the second night in response to my complaint to Mr. Timo Radochowski. I also mentioned in that context that the quality of the room - including the matrass quality and the size of the bed - is unacceptable to me - his response was: to tell me I should feel free to pay more for a better room. He mentioned then that I could be lucky that the A/C works until 11 PM - and educated me that at his previous job in a Hotel Munich the A/C is being shut off already at 10 PM. Overall, I am underwhelmed with his response to my complaint, and consequently with the quality of the Hotel.

On arrival the hotel had us booked in for the following day. The attitude of the staff was not very pleasant and they appeared to think that it was our fault that they had the wrong arrival date.
Very small room and bed. The bathroom is tiny!!! Hotel is on the main street, so you can't open the window. I can't recommend this hotel at all!

Please note that this message has been sent to the Mercure organisation twice without any answer! I am disappointed! Dear Sir, Madam, I made a reservation for the weekend of the 13th through to the 14th of Oct in Dusseldorf. Due to illness (doctor report available) we were not able to come, so we informed your organization directly. My question was to postpone this weekend to another weekend, but the only answer I got from Mercury was that I should paid. No compensation whatsoever was negotiable. I am a frequent user of hotels accross Europe(also for business purposes) and I am disappointed in your willingness and customer care. Could you please take my proposal into consideration? I would like to reserve a room for a weekendnight in the near future due to this unfortunate cancellation. The amount charged for the previous weekend has already been deducted from my account and I am certain that you have managed to sell that room during that weekend.
