Business hours of reception: 24 hours
Welcome to the Malardrottningen Hotel on board of the unique Barbara Hutton luxury yacht, a white beauty anchored next to the medieval quarter of Stockholm. The yacht was constructed in 1924 and has carefully preserved its charm and ambience with mahogany and shiny brass. Enjoy a magnificent view of the Lake Mälaren, the town hall and the Old Town from the deck.
60 cabins with tasteful interior are arranged with toilet, shower, hair-dryer, radio, TV with pay TV channels and phone with internet connection.
The hotel offers a marine restaurant for up to 120 people, suitable for private cocktail parties, anniversary dinners and other special occasions.
Attention: as this is a hotelship most of the doublecabins have bunk-beds or twin beds and are a little bit smaler (8 sqm) than a typical hotel room! You will love the charme of this boat and the centrally location in the old city of Stockholm. Because of savety reason, most of the windows are not possible to open, as the swell might overflow you cabin. Upon availability and request there are less expensive Sailor Cabins. Evaluations of Mälardrottningen
It is a ship! :-)
Rooms are small.
absolutely too expensive for the room quality
very stylish location, cebtrally, good breakfast
no double bed, for some people maybe room or bathhroom small
Charming place, warm and welcoming. Perfect for 1 or 2 nights right in the city center. Rooms are cosy, the size is ok for a few nights. Free internet, good breakfast and a very friendly crew.
Its a historic steel ship - there wasn´t any sound insulation. So I recommend to sleep with in-ear noise protection. The toilet flush from the room next door will wake you up during the need.
we were delighted with the cabin. It was exceptionally clean. Staff were brilliant. The location is fabulous, a few minutes from the Old Town and not very far from the station, we walked. Breakfast was cereals, scrambled egg, potato cakes, cold meats, cheese, rolls, bread, jams and marmalades, tea, coffee. We would recommend the hotel!!
it was the same cold meats two days running, maybe alternate? We were only there 2 days so it was fine for us but if you were staying a week you could might get fed up with it or not.
Little change from when this small vessel was sea-faring, meaning the cabins and ´´en suite´´ facilities are small. Unique, but not suitable for a long business stay if your standards have particulars.
I did like it! People are very nice! I'll come back with my son, he's mad about boats.
