Kassel is a city situated at the foothills of the forest Habichtwald, along the Fulda River (one of the two sources of the Weser river) in northern Hesse, Germany. Near the Kassel hotels you will find diverse parks to relax in during your stay.

In former times, the Grimm Brothers ranged the woods of the Hesse mountain county on the search for their world-famous Household Tales. While staying in Kassel we recommend you to visit the Palais Bellevue, which houses the Grimm Brothers Museum.

Some of Kassel’s cosy hotels are located in the avenue Wilhelmshöher Allee, which is located only a few steps away from the Berpark with its beautiful highlight: the trick fountains. While staying in Kassel, you should see the collection of paintings “Alte Meister“ and visit the town’s landmark, The Herkules. You will be able to mount the 71 meters/77.5 yards to its top via serpentines or stairways.

In the thermal bath “Kurhessen Therme“ you will experience tranquillity and relaxation in a Far Eastern atmosphere. If you are staying in Kassel in August, you will be able to visit the "Zissel", a colourful funfair. Every four of five years the "documenta" (important exhibition of contemporary art) is taking place in Kassel, attracting art lovers from all over the world and filling the rooms of the city’s hotels.

Kassel and its hotels can easily be reached via several autobahns and the ICE train (Hanover-Würzburg). Kassel is dubbed the economic centre of North Hesse. The city is home to the natural gas supplier Wingas and Wintershall as well as to the Institute for Solar Energy Supply Engineering.
