Everyone at the Front Desk did an awesome job. They were very friendly and professional

On Multiple occasions the valet did not come to get my car when I pulled up, but huddled around each other talking. House keeping Knocked on my door and I informed her that I was still in my room - 15 minutes later she comes into my room while I am in my towel without knocking or announcing herself - she just came in.... My business associate and I were eating at the hotel restaurant ane we had the rudest waiter We arrived at 10:55 and were in between breakfast and lunch. When we sat down I had a breakfast voucher and I put it on the table immediately. I asked if we could see the lunch menu and he snapped that my voucher would not be accepted. I said that was fine but I would like to see the lunch menu as well. When he came back he took our breakfast menus and ultimately made our decision for us. Not to worry, we found some great sandwiches on the menu and we were going to split them. 10 minutes later our waiter comes back over and asks if we are ready to order. We each place our order and he walks away, I called after him and asked if I could get some hot tea - I found it strange that he didn't ask if we wanted anything to drink but again I told myself this was just his style. 20 minutes later the meal arrives (there are 3 tables in the whole restaurant) and the waiter begins to walk away - again I call after him and ask if I could get my hot waiter refilled. He gives me a grimace and does not take the mini tea pot but obliges me with another tea pot. 2 minutes later he brings us our check. Just sets it down and walks away. I was very disturbed by this and we had just gotten our food and there was no mention of us being in a hurry or any reference to the check. At this point I begin to get a little upset becuase I am feeling unwelcomed in this restaurant and that the server wants to get rid of us. My beliefs were then justified when a table was set next to us and the server was ´´Amazing´´ to them. He greeted the table, described the buffet, offered drinks - was exceptionally pleasant and very polite. This fueled my fire and immediately paid the bill (wrote on the check my unhappiness of the service - not mean or rude, just the facts of the disappointing and biased service) and I called customer service and switched hotels to the Kansas City Country Club Plaza. It was a lot further away from the business that brought to me town, but seeing that I was paaying $199 a night and the support staff was incompetent completely ruined the whole experience for me.

Beautiful hotel! Just a few blocks from the Power & Light District - has a nice coffee vendor in the hotel lobby & bar as well. Beds very comfortable, liked that there was comfy chair to sit in as well in the room & a couple tables.

Ran out of parking, so had to park on street (which was better than paying $18 for valet parking... there were about 14 cars - maybe more, seriously - waiting to be valet parked already... didn't make me feel like good idea to turn over my car keys.

The room service staff were all wonderful! They were prompt, courteous and did a great job!

The room service menu needs more choices. The beds are very uncomfortable, they don't live up to the Marriott standard.
