Evaluations of ibis Styles Bochum Hauptbahnhof
Friendly staff, clean rooms, no noise from outside (closed window), good choice of breakfast, right next to Bochum main station, free tea next to reception,
No soap dispenser besides the bathroom sink. One has to reach inside the shower to get soap.
Less pokey rooms than the nearby red Ibis, and with significantly more green LEDs in the rooms. Also, unlike the nearby red Ibis, it's possible to have a shower without about 30% of Bochum's population being able to see your genitalia. Friendly staff.
Breakfast is rubbish. The only hot thing is hard boiled eggs. The nearby red Ibis is better in this regard since it has bacon. Shower blocked and overflowing onto the bathroom floor. It was too hot, though in admittedly unseasonably warm October // and significant noise and exhaust fumes from trains come into the room if you open the windows.
Excellent Location next to the train station
Reception area and worn out elevator
Urine smell in the staircase.
WiFi signal/speed good, but no apparent advantage to Bosch deal over free deal. Good-sized desk.
In many (small) ways I preferred the cheaper Ibis Budget that I usually use.
Modern style, convenient facilities and location (directly on main station)
Battered entrance hall and elevator a bit noisy
central location, excellent link to public transport.
friendly staff also at the early morning
Perhaps not the responsibility of the hotel and staff: noise from the bus station and gamblers, young people
Central location. Friendly staff.
Nice, if basic, hotel in a good location. Friendly staff. Fair price.
