Evaluations of ibis London City - Shoreditch
Simple but nice and clean hotel close to the Tower Bridge
include breakfast wll be even better
Excellent bar and restaurant, open 24 hours.
Bathroom slippery. Only 3 towels for 2 people. Beds are very small. Internet connection failed.
Basic, but tidy, comfortable and and economical.
Clean, very centrally located, close to an underground station.
Room smelled a bit strangely, could not figure out where that came from but was not too disagreeable.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, quite and clean room, close to Underground station.
Good business/tourist hotel. Good location - directly near subway station (Aldgate East). Nothing special about the hotel but no negative points worth mentioning about it either. Can be recommended. Some people wrote about street noise in the room, but that is probably old information: we've just been there and the windows have been double glazed now, and you can't hear a thing from the outside (except for police/ambulance cars rushing by sometimes). Heating/water pipes are making a constant sound, but not that loud that it would be troubling or annoying at all. The in-house restaurant is affordable (for London) and friendly staff there.
Why, why, why is there no toilet brush? Respectively, why isn't there -apparently- a toilet brush in ANY of all toilets in London? That's something I just don't understand. Hair dryer available, can be picked up from the reception, but we were asked to ´´bring it back tomorrow morning´´ - sounds like there is just one hair dryer for the whole hotel? Strange.
The staff servicing the guests taking their breakfast was definitely insufficient.
Hotel location was perfect:just next to Aldgate East station and ten minutes walk from Tower Bridge. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff pleasant, all speaking several languages. Breakfast buffet was pleasant and good value.
The hotel was in a good location for the price and really close to a tube station.
