From most of the rooms you have a view overthe beautiful garden with a part of the streamomme aa. The inn has also a cosy taproom andrestaurant with good danish inn food at reasonableprices.Sdr. Omme kro is a genuine roadside inn which issituated in the main street in the railway townsdr. Omme in central jutland. Right where thehighway crosses the stream omme aa there has beenan inn for centuries and since 1780 it has been aroyally licensed inn. With its length of 72 KMomme aa is the largest stream that falls into theriver skjern aa and as a guest in sdr. Omme kroyou have free fishing rights in the part of thestream running through the inns garden.Sdr. Omme kro got new hosts in 2010 - and they didnot come from far away. They were namely line anddean dam from the local bakery and caferespectively. Thus they moved only a few housesfurther down the street when they took over theinn. For dean dam it was an old dream that cametrue. Many years ago his greatest wish was to beapprenticed to the inn as a cook but there were novacancies - and thus he became a baker instead -however my dream has always been to become a cook.Therefore it was a pleasure to be given the keysfor the inn - dean dam says. He is responsible forthe kitchen whereas line has the overallresponsibility for the inn.The site of the inn makes it an ideal startingpoint for visits to legoland and givskud zoo butalso for a holiday with sporting activities.Besides the stream in the inn garden there arealso other fishing possibilities nearby. The innoffers golf holidays in co-operation with 10different golf courses with varying degrees ofdifficulty.The inn has a banqueting room for up to 150persons. The inn has also several other smallerrooms for meetings and conferences.
