The cargoeswere transported in large barges which were drawnby men and horses following the bargemans pathalong the river. Close to kongensbro a so-calledswot pejer is preserved. It is a black-tarred oakpole which stood at the place where the riverswung. To prevent the barges from being drawn intothe riverbank the men had to make a bent pull andthis was achieved by putting the rope around thepole.
