In 1830he got permission to run the ferry to the islandjegindoe as a reward for saving a woman fromdrowning and 12 years later he was royallylicensed to run a ferry inn named tambohus kro.The license was given because he had contributedto catching a gang of criminal gipsies. However abridge has replaced the ferry to jegindoe a longtime ago.The inn has been situated here for 160 years andover the years it has been renovated and extended- without damaging the cosiness and thetraditional inn atmosphere.
