One of Cumbrias most established 4 star hotels - opened by Thwaites Hotels and Spas in 1985. Central to Manchester Glasgow and Newcastle its an ideal base for business in the north of England and a great location to explore the Lakes and Cumbria. Built along the lines of a hunting lodge the massive floor-to-ceiling Lakeland stone fireplace -with a real log fire- dominates the entrance -and there are no less than 7 real fires throughout the ground floor areas.
