A picturesque property on the bed of the Kosi River, the Corbett Roop Resort is mapped with pretty cottages laced with multi-coloured flowers, plants and vast mango groves. From the road, this place looks like a small fairy tale settlement that has entwined many stories within it. A cozy reception greets you as you enter as does a billiards table. The Corbett Roop Resort is located at Mohaan, en route to the hills of Uttaranchal and spread in 8 acres of land. The Ramnagar railway station and town is 22 kilometres away, whereas the entry from Dhikala into the Reserve is 2 kilometres away. Hotel Facilities In such a beautiful resort, one can just while away time doing nothing. The shady mango grove is perfect for a writer's muse; the beautiful flora an inspiration for poets and the surrounding nature, to soothe self. The winding roads above the resort, the gushing sound of the Kosi River and the wide variety of activities leave you with little time to get bored. A children's play area in one of the many lawns takes care of the children's needs. The elders can play table tennis, carom, chess and volleyball. The adventurous can go rappelling, fishing, river crossing or rock climbing. You can take your pick from either a jeep or elephant safari to the Corbett National Park. The rate for the jeep safari is at a minimum of Rs. 660 per person. Other facilities include Hot & Cold Water, Open Air Restaurant, Conference Hall and Pick-Up & Drop. For something different, guests can see and actually participate in the processing of resort's very own products like rice, wheat and vegetables and be rewarded by sampling the juices and jams made in resort. The cottages have a separate drawing room, offer privacy and are enriched with a private lawn, whereas the rooms are compact with a common balcony. The services and facilities across both the rooms are the same. Every room has a television, air conditioner, writing table, chairs with table, phone, and crisp bright linen and curtains. The cottages have a tea and coffee maker in addition. The bathrooms are well stocked with a shower area, talcum powder, moisturizer, shampoo, face tissues, toilet paper roll and a phone. Dining The restaurant located adjacent to the lobby is like a big hall, with neatly arranged tables and chairs and a separate buffet area. This restaurant offers Indian, Chinese and Kumaoni dishes prepared by expert chefs. Please note: It is always advisable to book safaris prior to arrival, especially during weekends as there are only 60 vehicles allowed inside the National Park at a time. Depending on the no. of guests, the estimated cost of safari vehicles will be between Rs 2600- Rs 3000. Guests can directly contact the hotels and book their safaris.
