From Milan : A26 motorway towards Gravellona Toce . If you exit Arona town along the lake to Stresa ( 18 Km . Approximately ) . If you exit Carpugnino , you can reach Stresa along the scenic mountain road ( 4 Km , not accessible to buses ) or exit at Baveno then back to Stresa along the lake for 5 km .
