[ By Car ] 18 km from Yaita I. C. of Tohoku Expressway. From Yaita I. C. head north on Prefectural Highway 30 for 9.4 km. Turn left at 'izumi' crossing and take Prefectural Highway 56. Follow the signs and drive onto a dirt road (7.6 km ). Drive down this dirt road for 1.2 km. Please drive carefully around the hairpin curves. If you are using a car navigation system, please input 'Yaita Country Club (0287 44 1121)' or input 'happogahara' and then search for 'Kotaki Kosen' (car navigation systems will frequently guide to Prefectural Highway 272 when you first input 'Kotaki Kosen' ). If you are coming from Nasu, use Prefectural Highway 30 and then drive down Sekiya Way onto Prefectural Highway 56.

Hotel Description

Situated deep in the mountains, this hotel was established in the 25th year of the Meiji Era (1892). There are no shops and restaurants in the surrounding area, but we are blessed with an abundance of nature. Little waterfalls called 'kotaki' run down near the hotel, from which we take our hotel name. In front of our hotel there is a mountain stream where you can enjoy fishing for wild cherry salmon and trout. Our hot springs contain a source of iron which is very rare even in Japan, and is excellent for keeping the body warm. Of course, it also has a number of other beneficial effects. For very many years, we have been a famous place for hot spring cures. This is a hotel with a rustic and homelike atmosphere. We hope that you will have a carefree stay at our hotel.
