Newly opened in July 2014, Guest House Wasabi offers a safe, clean, and truly Japanese lodging experience at a reasonable price. Located steps away from Mikawashima Station in Arakawa, a quiet residential area of northern Tokyo, Wasabi offers excellent access to old Tokyo and the historical districts of Asakusa and Ueno while allowing guests to get a taste of the old Edo atmosphere. Sensoji, the oldest and grandest of Tokyo's temples, and Ueno Park, home of the National Museum and Tokyo Zoo, are both only a 20 minute train ride away. Wasabi offers both private rooms and gender separated dorms. Unlike traditional dormitories, each bed at Wasabi has its own walls to allow guests some privacy. Private rooms feature a flat screen TV and bathroom with a shower and bathtub, while a spacious public bath, complete with a majestic painting of Mount Fuji on the bathhouse wall, is available for use by all guests. Free Wifi is available in all rooms. Other onsite facilities include coin operated laundry machines, lockers for luggage storage, and free coffee and tea in the lounge.
