Started the business from late Edo period (Bunka 7 ). Renewed the residential area of sake brewery house and reopened as a comfortable Kyomachiya (traditional Kyoto style house ). To fully enjoy a taste of the real Japan we accommodate only one group of guests per day. Kinpyo is situated on the north of Gion but in the neighbor there are restaurants serving Kyoto cuisine, Shirakawa street lined with tea houses and well known ''protected Historic District'' Shinbashi street. Also Furumonzen street and Shinmonzen street are lined with many antique shops that attracts lot of guests from foreign countries. You will often see Geiko (traditional, female Japanese entertainers ) and Maiko (apprentice geisha ) walking on the southern part of the Gion area that enhance a traditional atmosphere of Gion. Kinpyo provides a convenient location to enjoy the sightseeing in Kyoto. We will arrange sightseeing taxi, offer information about Kyoto's sightseeing spots and we will introduce restaurants that suit each guests or arrange a meal from Gion's famous caterer budget because we don't serve meals. When guests arrived at our hotel we will offer green tea and seasonal Japanese confectionery. Also feel free to drink Japanese tea, coffee and red tea. We service mineral water too. We prepare flowers and arrange beautifully in various places and look forward to seeing you here. Characteristic of Kyoto Machiya features ''mushiko'' window, special lattice door, vaulted ceiling and spot garden. Guests will feel a sense of architectural beauty and beautility that are formed over a long period of history. At night soak in the spacious Japanese cypress bathtub and features down duvet to ensure a good night's sleep. When you arrive please give us a call. We will explain room facilities and give you room key. There is no curfew but please lock the door when you leave the room. Please handle carefully of antique goods and wares lined in the room.
