Located in the Higashiyama area and directly next to Chion-in Temple grounds, Chion-in Wajun Kaikan offers Japanese and Western-style accommodations. Shakyo Sutra transcriptions and Buddhist morning services can be experienced and free WiFi is available at the public areas. Guests can choose to stay in rooms with tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding or in rooms with Western beds. Historical Buddhists materials and artworks from Choin-in Temple are displayed at the gallery. All meals are served at the Kasuian restaurant. Guests can take the public bus from JR Kyoto Train Station to Chioin-mae Bus Stop, which is a 5-minute walk away from the property. Wajun Kaikan Chion-in is a 5-minute walk from Yasaka Shrine and a 20-minute walk from Kiyomizu Temple. Gion Shijo Train Station is a 10-minute walk away and JR Kyoto Train Station is a 15-minute drive away. The property has a curfew at 23:00. Guests cannot enter or leave the property after this time. Please note that buffet will not be served until further notice. The property will serve à la carte alternatively.
